Description
Zamioculcas zamiifolia, with a mouthful like that, no wonder it has been reduced to ZZ plant. This is a rare black version. These are true troopers, they don't ask for much. They are semi-succulent and hate being in moist soil for long. Best to water sparingly, and have a fast draining mix. They prefer low-medium light. Repot into bigger pots, when the stems get within a inch of the side of the pot, the large underground rhizome is usually bigger than the above ground part. Only give enough room for a few years growth. A plant you will have for a very long time and with little care.
