Description
Fabian Ming Aralia has large circular dark green leaves. Ming Aralias hail from the South Pacific Islands, where the soils are poor and rocky but the weather nice and warm. Which is why they do so well in our homes, we like the warm cozy place too. Yet, they have succulenty stems that store water and thirsty fine roots, that quickly grab the water. So we need to make sure that these beauties are watered regularly but allowed to dry in between, especially in larger pots. Make sure the soil is quite dry a few inches into the pot before watering again. Root rot is common if the mix is not draining enough. Otherwise, they will do nicely in any medium to bright light room. They do not like the cold so keep from drafts or cool rooms. Fertilize during the warm growing season.
