Description
Plectranthus members usually make good houseplants. Coleus is a member. This one is actually a shrubby plant and would like to get 4-6 feet tall, but it will be happy kept smaller as well. The plant is a fun tactile plant, with fuzzy leaves and minty herby smell. Grown in medium to bright light, and in a standard mix with good drainage. Best pinched or prune to encourage branching and more leave development. In late Autumn, it may send up purple flower spikes. It is also hardy outdoors in mild winter areas, try it on your shady porch to brighten a corner.
