Description
Olives have been grown for centuries and have been a hugely important part of Western Civilization, agriculture, art and cuisine. It is thought that Romans initially spread Olives throughout the Mediterranean. The Spanish brought Olives to the California missions. Their beauty is unique, and nothing quite feels like an olive tree. Interestingly, they are tough plants. Since Olives are unlikely to fruit indoors, and pollen and flowers can make a mess, we offer a fruitless variety. They can be trained into bonsai, topiary or just kept more traditional for an Italian kitchen vibe. Give bright light, good drainage and water when dry, it is basically that simple. Pruning is required to keep them small but they grow slow in the house.
