Description
Fishtail Palm is a elegant and dramatic background plant. It needs a dedicated space but it deserves it. It is such a different shape and style to most palms. It can grow quite fast in a tropical environment and high light. However, indoors it will grow slow and steady. Water regularly, but with good drainage, it doesn't want to get too dry but can't handle soggy conditions. Extra humidity is always welcome, but isn't necessary unless your heating/AC is drying the air. The roots are shallow and fine for a palm, so do not over pot.
