A Cycad from Australia. Although, it looks similar to a palm and has a lack of spines, this is a Cycad. Very slow growing and preferring shade and water, make it an unusual candidate for a houseplant. It is remarkable how tough Cycads are but they are only grown from seed which is why they are so expensive. This one will keep growing and eventually become a small tree. Yet, since it grows so slow it will be decades. Best grown in bright light and good draining soil, with regular water and fertilizer. Rare
