Description
Kentia Palms are a favorite, almost anyone agrees, there is something so tropical, elegant and graceful to a large Kentia. In fact, since their discovery on Lord Howe Island in the South Pacific in Victorian times, this palm has been imported to drawing rooms and parlors of Europe by the thousands. Once you recognize a Kentia, you will see it in famous old pictures in the early 1900s, behind Roosevelt, Churchill and Movie Stars. Unfortunately, since they can only be grown from seed and grow slowly, they have become rarer. If you do see them, they are small and lack the full impact. Truly, a great palm for indoors, they do well in medium to bright light. need a good draining mix. Water regularly but allow to dry a few inches before watering again. Fertilize lightly year round. Antique Favorite!
